Housing and Infrastructure

Research Analyst, Housing and Infrastructure

Washington   |   Full Time

The Bipartisan Policy Center is a non-profit organization that combines the best ideas from both parties to promote health, security, and opportunity for all Americans. BPC drives principled and politically viable policy solutions through the power of rigorous analysis, painstaking negotiation, and aggressive advocacy.

As a leading Washington, DC-based think tank that actively promotes bipartisanship, BPC works to address the key challenges facing the nation. Our policy solutions are the product of informed deliberations with former elected and appointed officials, business and labor leaders, and academics and advocates who possess views from across the political spectrum. We are currently focused on policy issues related to health, energy, the economy, education, immigration, infrastructure, and governance.

Since 2011, BPC has developed and pursued bipartisan recommendations for growing the supply of affordable rental homes, providing targeted rental assistance, and supporting sustainable homeownership. BPC’s Housing Commission and Senior Health and Housing Task Force—and discrete efforts since to build consensus on affordable rental housing policies, outline credit access and affordability priorities in housing finance reform, and facilitate health and housing partnerships—have served as catalysts for bipartisan action in Congress.

BPC is building on this past work and growing our Housing and Infrastructure Project. We will be working to highlight the importance of housing affordability, stability, quality, and safety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the attendant economic downturn, climate change, and the national reckoning on racial equity and opportunity.

BPC is currently seeking a Research Analyst to support these activities, with additional opportunities to assist with policy initiatives on infrastructure, disaster policy reform, and climate change adaptation. The ideal applicant for this position will have a wide range of knowledge and experience. They will also be intellectually curious and a self-starter, with the ability to get up-to-speed on a diverse set of issues involved in these pressing policy areas.
